Every month, Makers Empire hosts an in-app 3D design competition giving students around the world the opportunity to test their Design Thinking skills against their peers.

To coincide with the holiday season, in December, students were challenged to create an ornament to celebrate a holiday that was important to them using Makers Empire 3D software.

Students from all over the world submitted almost 5,000 entries for the Great Ornament Tournament competition, which we really enjoyed looking at even if it made judging the designs quite challenging!

Ultimately, there were some standout designs so without further ado, congratulations to the following winners and runners ups!

Winner: Stephen from Mawson Lakes Primary School, SA, Australia
Design: The Dove Ornament

Runner Up 1: Brendon from Mawson Lakes Primary School, SA, Australia
Design: Santa Claus

Runner Up 2: Reese from Eanes Elementary School in Texas, USA
Design: Santa and his Reindeer
