Introducing Our First Short Course: Marvellous Minibeasts!

Bugs appear on some twigs and leaves, including a ladybug, an ant, a spider and a worm. The words Marvellous Minibeasts appears in all capitals in a white font.

At Makers Empire, we know that teachers are always looking for flexible, engaging ways to bring STEM and design thinking into their classrooms. That’s why we’re excited to launch our very first Short Course – designed to take around three lessons, while still giving students a meaningful learning experience.

By popular request from teachers, our first short course is Marvellous Minibeasts.

What’s inside Marvellous Minibeasts?

Students investigate the fascinating world of minibeasts, discovering what makes an animal a minibeast. They explore what these tiny creatures need to survive and how their habitats support them. Finally, students put their knowledge into action by designing an imaginative minibeast – thinking about its structure, survival features and ideal habitat.

Why teachers will love it

  • Quick & flexible: Designed to be completed in under three lessons.
  • Cross-curricular links: Integrates science, design & technologies and literacy.
  • Engaging for students: Combines inquiry learning with creative 3D design.
  • Teacher-inspired: This has been one of our most requested courses from teachers.
