Makers Empire Accredited by Education Alliance Finland for Pedagogical Quality

Makers Empire is delighted to announce our accreditation by Education Alliance Finland (EAF) for pedagogical quality. Makers Empire is one of only a handful of Australian EdTech companies to achieve this prestigious and internationally recognised certification.

Education Alliance Finland provides a product evaluation  and certification service based on global quality standard for learning solutions. The learning impact evaluation is done using a science-based method that has been developed with university researchers in Finland, the global education leader.

The Standard allows for evaluating the strengths and development areas of the product through the assessment of three focus areas:

  • Learning Goals
  • Pedagogical Approach
  • Usability

Makers Empire was fortunate to receive a complimentary assessment for possible accreditation through the company’s participation in the Eduspaze EdTech accelerator program supported by the Singapore Government via Enterprise Singapore.

Olli Vallo, CEO at Education Alliance Finland, said, “learning creative problem-solving and other transversal competencies are at the core of the Finnish education system. Therefore it was truly exciting for our Finnish teacher-evaluators to get to evaluate a solution that allows practicing these skills through 3D design activities. It was great to see how the Makers Empire sparks students’ creativity through hands-on learning experiences and for teachers it was surprisingly easy to start using the software thanks to its complete support materials for educators. We rarely see a solution that has this extensive teacher resources that also support the teacher’s professional development and knowledge of a novel topic.”

Niko Lindholm, Program Director of Eduspaze, added, “EduSpaze wanted to work with EAF, as we value their expertise very highly. The pedagogical design and efficacy of Edtech solutions is something that we look into when choosing companies into our accelerator programme. Makers Empire is a unique company and solution. It was wonderful to see that the report from EAF validated our own thoughts about Makers Empire.”

The Education Alliance Finland accreditation means that Makers Empire represents high educational quality and is proven to promote learning efficiently. Check out some of the highlights from EAF’s report below by clicking on any of the images.
