Introduction to the Lowe’s Toolbox for Education Grant
If you are looking at introducing or expanding 3D printing and design at your school, Makers Empire can try to help you achieve funding for such a program through the Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grants.
Each year, the Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grants program contributes more than $5 million to fund improvements at public schools in the United States.
Now in its 12th year of helping build better schools and communities, the Lowe’s Toolbox for Education program has provided over $54 million to more than 12,000 schools across the country.
The Fall 2018 grant cycle is now open.
The deadline for submitting applications for this grant cycle is February 8, 2019 11:59 pm ESTbut Lowes will close applications once they receive 1,500 applications.
Grant Aims and Fit with Makers Empire
The Lowes grant is for any individual public/charter K-12 school or non-profit parent group associated with that public/charter K-12 school. Pre-schools are not eligible.
It offers a grant funding for projects ranging from $2,000 – $5,000 and can be used for school projects that fall into one of the categories:

If you decide to apply for a Maker Project grant to purchase a Makers Empire solution, you must request a quotation from us as quotations and financial reports need to be included in your application. We can also provide supporting information for your grant submission.
